How do I import a TikTok or Instagram Reel?

Open SavvyTravel and tap the Inbox tab at the bottom of the screen. Paste the video URL into the field and tap Import. The app will fetch the video, extract any location mentions in the caption and audio, and add them as pins to your selected trip.

You don't need to download the video first — just copy the link from TikTok or Instagram and paste it directly.

Why didn't my video import or show any locations?

There are a few common reasons:

  • Private or restricted video — SavvyTravel can only process publicly accessible videos. If the account is private or the post has been deleted, the import will fail.
  • No location data in the video — Some videos don't mention specific places. If our AI can't find a recognisable location in the caption, title, or audio, no pins will be added. You can add locations manually by editing the trip.
  • Unsupported platform — v1.0 supports TikTok and Instagram Reels. YouTube Shorts support is planned for a future release.

If a valid public video consistently fails to import, email us at support@savvytravel.app with the URL and we'll investigate.

How do I delete my account?

You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app:

  1. Open the Profile tab (bottom-right icon).
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. All your trips, imported videos, and generated itineraries are removed from our servers. This process is GDPR-compliant — we do not retain personal data after deletion.
